Our office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. *Holidays excluded.
Our next Monthly Commissioner Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 10:00am, in the Board of Elections Office. 
The Clinton County Board of Elections is a bi-partisan representative of the two major political parties. The Board is responsible for upholding the State Election Law and administering elections in Clinton County. We are entrusted to insure that all qualified voters have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote, as well as to protect the integrity of the entire election process.

Registered Voter Information

If you move within Clinton County, change your name, or your party affiliation, you must fill out a Voter Registration Form which can be done online at Online Voter Registration | New York State Board of Elections (  or by downloading the form on the New York State Voter Registration website. You can also fill out a registration form in-person at the Board of Elections office.

You can check your Voter Registration Status anytime.

**If you are a new voter voting for the first time and your identity has not previously been verified by SSN or DMV number or otherwise, you will be asked for identification in order to vote on a machine. If you do not have any identification, you can still vote by affidavit ballot and such vote will count.**


Voters who have an accessible voting absentee ballot may print their ballot at our office, 137 Margaret Street Suite 104, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Voters may vote an accessible ballot in person on a ballot marking device (BMD) either on early voting or on election day.
