The Clinton County Health Department oversees all tanning facilities within Clinton County.

The purpose of the Tanning Facilities Program is to license (permit) and inspect commercial tanning facilities.
Lead Poisoning, Testing, and Prevention
Lead is a naturally occurring heavy metal found plentifully in the ground. Because it is so widespread, lead has been used in a variety of products such as paint, ceramics, pipes, gasoline, batteries and cosmetics. Lead causes learning, behavior, and health problems in children and high blood pressure and kidney damage in adults.
Clinton County Buildings & Grounds
Objective:
The Buildings & Grounds Department is responsible for providing the County with clean, safe and attractive buildings and grounds.
Types of Services:
General plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry and mechanical repairs.
Interior and exterior painting.
Minor construction and alteration.
Grounds maintenance.
Janitorial services.
Heating and air-conditioning maintenance and repairs.
Assist other County departments in rearranging office or transporting furniture.
Snow removal.
Description of Department:
The department employs 22 full-time employees. To accomplish the work, the department is divided into two shifts. The dayshift is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings and the upkeep of the grounds. The nightshift is responsible for the janitorial cleaning of the buildings. The department maintains all of the following County buildings and grounds:

Supreme Court Chambers
Supreme Court Library
County Airport (Electrical and HVAC only)
County Jail (HVAC only)
Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
The Clinton County LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee) was established pursuant to Federal Legislation called the Community Right To Know Act or Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA Title III). The primary duty of the LEPC is to develop and review and maintain awareness and plans related to Hazardous Materials Emergency Response in the County of Clinton. To conduct planning activities, the LEPC receives submission of Tier II reports from local industry regarding hazardous chemicals stored or transported within Steuben County.
