Clinton County Health Department Information for the Public
Here you will find health bulletins and press releases from the Clinton County Health Department. Information can range from one specific topic regarding individual health items, to topics that could affect an entire community.
Emergencies disrupt hundreds of thousands of lives every year. Each disaster has lasting effects, both to people and property.
If an emergency occurs in your community, local government and disaster-relief organizations will try to help you, but you need to be ready as well. Local responders may not be able to reach you immediately, or they may need to focus their efforts elsewhere.
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is for children under the age of three who are developmentally delayed or have a diagnosed disability. Development is how your baby grows and learns. EIP provides services that assist in the growth and development of eligible children and their families.
EIP works to help families to manage daily life and meet their child's special needs. There is no cost to families for services provided by EIP. Parents or caregivers can make a direct referral to EIP by calling 518-565-4890.
The monthly WIC Highlights is available to all WIC participants and aims to keep families updated on program changes and seasonal health and nutrition information for families with young children. A new seasonal recipe utilizing WIC approved foods is also featured each month.
Numerous migrant farm workers and their family members come to New York State and leave their homes to plant, cultivate, harvest, and pack fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Hand labor is necessary for the production of the blemish-free fruits and vegetables that consumers demand.
The Clinton County Health Department performs inspections on migrant farm workers' housing units in Clinton County, to ensure that they are providing a safe and sanitary environment for the workers, per the health code.
